In ignorance. à à à à à Dark is a major part of Edgar Allan Poeââ¬â¢s work. Take for example ââ¬Å"The Pit and the Pendulumâ⬠: The main character is locked in a dungeon with no light to see his surroundings. ââ¬Å"I quickly unclosed my eyes. There is also the literary darkness Like in the ââ¬Å"Tell Tale Heartâ⬠, the man murders his employer ââ¬Å" He shrieked once ââ¬â once only. In an n instance I dragged him to the floor, and pulled the heave bed over him... the old man was deadâ⬠¦I took for the concealment of the body. The night warned, and I walked hastily, but in silence , first as I dismembered the corps.
